The revolutionary orthodontic treatment
Damon Braces are the latest in new generation orthodontic treatment. Damon 3 braces and Damon Q, use more discreet and smaller brackets than more traditional systems and Damon Clear braces are virtually invisible.
Damon braces and traditional orthodontic braces may look similar, but they are different. For placing traditional braces, elastics or stainless steel wires are used, which leads to friction and pressure, while Damon braces use a special sliding mechanism, which makes the movement of the teeth more comfortable, and quicker.
Benefits of Damon braces:
- Discreet : Damon braces are ideal as they are smaller in size than other more conventional orthodontic treatments. Damon clear braces are practically invisible.
- Comfortable : The unique sliding mechanism used by Damon braces, makes the movement of the teeth more comfortable as it leads to less friction and force. The tooth movement is achieved by high-tech, low force wires.
- Easier to keep clean : It is easier to keep Damon braces clean compared to more conventional braces. The sliding technique ensures that there are less ligatures where plaque and bacteria can accumulate making dental hygiene easier during treatment.
1. Initial Consultation
At the time of your first consultation we’ll discuss your expectations and requirements before explaining all the treatment options available to you.
Once we’ve agreed on a treatment plan we’ll start with a full, in-depth look at your teeth and mouth. This includes a scan of your teeth and mouth, taking photos of your teeth and facial features as well as x-rays to plan for treatment and monitor the results.
Once our experts finalize the plan for your orthodontic treatment your Damon braces will be placed.
4. Monitoring Treatment
One of the most essential parts of your treatment is to monitor your progress. However, this treatment does not require frequent examinations. You will be examined over approximately 8-10 weeks.
5. We reveal your new smile!
Your treatment comes to an end and your braces can be removed now. It’s time for you to show off your perfectly aligned and straight teeth.
6. Keep your smile straight
As in any orthodontic treatment you’ll have to wear a retainer after treatment to keep your teeth in their new position.
